I added new photos of my progress!!
I have dug up only a corner of my garden area. It raised about four inches, just by being broken up. I am in the process of adding some grass clippings to it. I am hoping this will keep it from packing back down again. I have been told that the soil is great and needs no fertilizer, but I added some natural fertilizer (aged horse manure and hay mixture) to it anyway. I, also, added some landscaping mulch to it and now I am trying to get it mixed well. The area has raised about six inches all together. My rescued tomatoes (I got them free from a store who could not sell them) seem to be doing okay. They are still alive and I waited till the heat wave was over (???) before transplanting them into bigger pots. I didn't want to overly stress them.
I may still get some tomatoes. I have been told that there is another time for tomatoes to produce after the heat of summer passes. We will see...
My flowers are doing well. I seem to have lost my black thumb and am gaining a green one! I hope so!!! lol
