Wow, I was looking through your pics and I really like all that food you're growing - looks so pretty! You do have a very large front yard, enough to do some serious planting. By the way, have you heard of "Permaculture"? If not, you may want to check it out via Utube videos of how and what it is; & there's a good easy book about it that's for any size homestead "Gaia's Garden". I suggested this because your front yard is very large and alot to start out with new beds, etc. You would learn about water retention, planting pretty and sustainable beds for your veggies, fruits & flowers using friendlier and cheaper methods that last for years. I've been learning alot about it over the past 3 years and I'm trying to incorporate some of those ideas as best I can at my home, especially since we have droughts here. You are way up there in Canada? So, its stays cold a long period of time before you can plant - huh? It's "HOT" from June 1st til October 15ish here. Well, gotta go, good luck with your gardens. P.S. By the way, I put the courtyard pic on my profile like you had mentioned - Thanks!
