Hi Lori, I finally got my garden planted, maybe. I'm always finding something new to add just when I think I'm done. I have a lot of extra pepper plants even after I donated some to the nursing home. The green beans I planted 10 days ago are sprouting nicely, since we had one inch of rain yesterday. The eggplant are finally in and I found a portable trellis for now. There are pictures posted. Then, I put in some PVC pipes for the cucumbers climb on. I have to admit in looks a little ridiculous and needs some more work. I drove some stacks into the ground and slipped the PVC pipe over it. My plan is to add wire or rope for the cucumbers to climb up. My back is hurting after spending the past week planting. Put in some more flowers in the front yard. The Fed Ex guy showed up today with the rain bird irrigation stuff we ordered on line 3 days ago. That was a nice surprise. The hard work is almost done. Now all I have to do is weed and water. I pulled up some radishes yesterday and ate them all myself. They were good. I'll have to think about what I'll plant in their place when they are all harvested. Something was eating on the raspberry plants and we figured out it was a little black caterpillar. I've noticed them around the place and I have never seen this type before. I hope we don't have an bigger problem brewing. On the other hand, I found a nice surprise of some volunteer strawberries in the most unexpected place so I put them into the new strawberry patch. Hope they make it. Take care and keep me posted on your gardening or whatever..
