Day Job:  bookkeeper

The Digs:  Backyard, Containers

Crops:  Apples, Basil, Bell Peppers, Blackberries, Broccoli, Carrots, Celery, Chile Peppers, Chinese cabbage, Collards, Corn, Garlic, Gourds, Green beans, Jalepeno Peppers, Lavender, Lemons, Lettuce, Mint, Oregano, Potatoes, Rosemary, Spinach, Squash, Strawberries, Thyme, Tomatoes

Animals:  Cats, Chickens, Dogs, Goats, Rabbits

Why I'm Getting Dirty:  I love seeing things grow and feeling the satisfaction of eating produce that you grew yourself. Knowing exactly how that produce was grown is a nice bonus. Plus there's nothing better than being around animals. Mine make me smile everyday-no matter what!

    Oh, but you can do rows of beds! My beds are basically just 4' wide rows and are a much more efficient use of space. The photo angle makes the paths seem huge, but in actuality, they're only about 2.5' wide.

    Daisy has learned that she can go under the gate, our shepard has a place dug out for him to come and go, so now she follows him out into the main yard

    I love the chicks, we did 32 chicks this year to replace our older hens and the hens we lost to the winter
