Why I'm Getting Dirty: We live on a 1/4 acre city lot in the city. We're remaking our yard into a permaculture-inspired edible landscape in order to grow our own food sustainably, build community and feed others, and because we love it!
We run a nonprofit garden for Birch Community Services (the Teaching Garden), and with a set of volunteers, grow organic, heirloom produce for 650 needy families in Portland.
