Crops: Basil, Bell Peppers, Blackberries, Blueberries, Carrots, Garlic, Green beans, Lettuce, Melons, Mint, Potatoes, Spinach, Thyme, Tomatoes, Turnips

Animals: Dogs

Why I'm Getting Dirty: It's always relaxing at the end of the day to dig my hands into the soil and put in some work in growing my own food. I use my garden to show my daughter (Ginny) about the earth, counting, taking care of things, and just about every other lesson I can think to pull out of the earth.

Congrats on Farmer of the Day.
Ginny is adorable!!! I have 3 sons who help my wife and i in our garden and they are passionate about fresh organic and local - I didn't force that they just see how much better it is. Your daughter will see the world that way some day as well.
