Crops:  Bell Peppers, Cabbage, Carrots, Chile Peppers, Corn, Cucumbers, Green beans, Jalepeno Peppers, Lettuce, Melons, Mushrooms, Potatoes, Pumpkins, Squash, Strawberries, Sugar Snap Peas, Tomatoes, Turnips

Animals:  Rabbits

Why I'm Getting Dirty:  We are a couple of Hippie type people that just want to live easier on the earth and raise our kids with the knowledge to be able to supply their own food and to be self-sustainable as much as possible.

    I think that it is even more challenging to be homesteading in the city than in the country. More people to convince that it's the thing to do! Keep us posted!

    Congratulations! I definitely agree that it's so important to teach our kids to be self-sufficient and give them a leg up that'll help them leave less of a footprint on the Earth.

    Love your name! My son recently wrote in his journal that "he wished we coud eat like normal people instead of hippies." I asked him how hippies eat and he said "healthy." So I guess we are Hippie parents too!
