Crops:  Basil, Bell Peppers, Brussels sprouts, Carrots, Collards, Corn, Cucumbers, Garlic, Grapes, Green beans, Jalepeno Peppers, Kale, Lavender, Lettuce, Melons, Mint, Mustard Greens, Potatoes, Rosemary, Spinach, Thyme, Tomatoes, Walnuts, beets, amaranth, sorghum, arugula, hops, marjoram, oregano

Animals:  Cats, Chickens, Dogs, Goats

Why I'm Getting Dirty:  for the love of the earth, her fruits and her creatures. The urban agriculture movement is perhaps the one movement that will have the greatest impact on restoring our connection to the earth.

    Wow! 3 acres is really nice to work with! I love your canning picture. I also do alot of canning, mainly for my mother inlaw with alzheimer's.

    Congratulations on being farmer of the day! Three acres is a nice size...Room for the crops and the animals. My 'digs' are in a suburban environment, in the outskirts of a village within the city. The property actually used to be a farm but was subdivided and built up all around. The front yard is deep but the back yard is very shallow, so no room for chickens and the like but I'm working on growing as much food as possible in the space I have. Enjoy your 'farmer of the day' day.
