Why I'm Getting Dirty:  I started growing in 2008 as a way to combat the gloom upon the return from a deployment in 2006-2007. I was so amazed at how much food grew from a handfull of seeds. I have expanded every year, space and variety. I chose to grow organic in 2009, it was more of a challenge and better for my plants/soil. To this day, my garden helps me keep my sense of balance and brings me great joy.

Planted the corn...2nd attempt at growing corn. Hopefully planting beans with it will help feed it the nitrogen it was lacking two years ago!
