The Digs:  Backyard, Containers

Crops:  Apples, Basil, Bell Peppers, Carrots, Cucumbers, Green beans, Kale, Lettuce, Mint, Potatoes, Spinach, Squash, Sugar Snap Peas, Thyme, Tomatoes, Swiss Chard, Onions, Summer Savory, Dill, Beets

Animals:  Dogs

Why I'm Getting Dirty:  Growing vegetables in our backyard garden for a year round harvest.

    Thank you, there are a lot of great crops you can plant for a fall garden. I am always amazed how hardy some varieties are.

    Nice looking gardens. I checked out your website. Also very nice. You've got me thinking that I should try growing another batch of crops for fall. I've especially been thinking about lettuce. Some of the lettuce I left in the garden in the fall overwintered in the garden and matured in the spring. I guess it's hardier stuff than we give it credit for.
