Farmer in the City

Why I'm Getting Dirty:  For as long as I can remember , I have always loved playing in the "dirt" and with plants. For a while I actually got paid to do so, as I became a Florida Certified Nursery Professional, and ended up managing several plant nurseries, and did quite a bit of landscape design. I am also a classically trained Chef, so when I bought Garnett House (a 125 yr old victorian on a third of an acre) I started the transformation of the landscape to be not only more Eco friendly, but productive as well. We love the food we raise! We stretch the growing season as long as possible, and during the year I am constantly putting things by, either by freezing, dehydrating, or traditional pickling and preserving.
