Thanks for the vote, Standfield. I left one for you, too. We're having crazy weather again this weekend. The windchill here is about -8C right now and winds up to 60kph. I won't be in the garden today but tomorrow should be +12 and sunny so it should be a good day to really start the spring cleanup. I bought a grow light system from Amazon but, unfortunately the tube itself was broken in transit. I have had a hard time locating a replacement in Canada but have my hopes set on a hydroponics store nearby that I am going to visit today. Then I can hopefully get my seedlings going. Is your weather cooperating this weekend?

I do wish you luck in your goal to drastically reduce your food budget at the store. I'll be interested in following how it goes with all your seedlings. I should look into ways to cover up my gardens so I can get an earlier start outside. I tend to wait until later in May to plant any plants I've started indoors into the garden.

Greetings Standfield. What's happening in the sprouting centre? I have decided that this is the weekend to get seriously thinking about spring planting, although I don't know why because I don't see any signs of spring. I have been starting seeds inside for a few years but this year I'm going to check into getting some proper lighting.

Despite the cold we're busy planning our garden and organizing our sprouting center in the basement.

Extreme cold in Ohio this year has wiped out all plants in my hoop houses. Very sad.
