Will be passing by your way Saturday, March 3rd on the way to Cooper's Farm in Rochdale to pick up seedlings from the Worcester County Conservation District. And, possibly Rutland to Jordan's Farm. Good luck with the garden this year!

The bird was a 'Christmas gift' in 2006 - lol - the poor thing fell down our chimney. I came down Xmas morning to discover that our 2 cats had managed to open the glass doors on our fireplace and the sparrow was desperately trying to stay above their reach! I put the cats in the basement, reached up and rescued the bird and went to take it outside. It was so exhausted that the instant we got out in the cold it hunkered down and fell asleep in my warm hand! After getting my camera(with it still asleep in my hand) I sat holding it for about an hour before it woke up and finally agreed to fly off! Best Christmas present EVER!

I don't have any pics yet - will do this season, though. I have an average suburban yard with 2 4x4 "square foot" plots, lots of containers - some in the yard, some on my deck, and some grow-lights indoors. My housemate gave me an AeroGarden a few years ago, so we keep herbs going in that.

Thanks for Farmer of the Day!

I'll answer the questions asked seperately.

ANW is American Ninja Warrior - the NBC show based on Japan's Sasuke, My son was a competitor last season and fingers crossed for this season, too!

And by the way, what's ANW?

Nice mix of crops. Do you have any pictures of your garden to share? How did you manage to get the bird to stay like that? I assume it's a wild bird?
