Why I'm Getting Dirty: I started my urban greenhouse in October of 2009 and I now grow more than enough food for my family of four. I use aquaponics to organically raise my fruit, herbs, veggies, duckweed, and tilapia fish. We have 8 chickens that contribute to our mini ecosystem. I use solar power for most of the greenhouse's energy needs. Did I mention all of this is in an old backyard swimming pool?
