Crops: Apples, Basil, Blueberries, Bok-choy, Green beans, Kale, Lavender, Lemons, Lettuce, Mint, Mustard Greens, Oregano, Potatoes, Rosemary, Squash, Strawberries, Thyme, Tomatoes, Jerusalem Artichokes, chervil, mache, arugula, parsley, marjoram, many kinds of mint, bay, tarragon.
Why I'm Getting Dirty: My thought was to have an Inn connected to an Urban Farm to educate the many tourists who come to San Francisco on the issues of sustainable agriculture. We teach our guests about recycling, how we are organic, do compost, encourage beneficial insects and watch with awe the many wonders that unfold on our small 25’ X 25’ plot.
