Congrats on being farmer of the day.

I've found that the tomatoes and cucumbers that I grow do just as well if I wait until the frost free date in May. It's something to do with the ground temperature that doesn't kill the plants but they just sit there not growing until the ground warms up. I'm not so much into the cold weather plants that would benefit the early planting just yet. My garden is slowing expanding and one day I'll get to the floating row cover.

Wow...you grow a lot! Now...is there any benefit to growing stinging nettles, or are they just an unfortunate inevitability?

Have you started any seed yet..
I planted some stuff to get out under tunnels and floating row covers in March.. Trying to gte a jump on the garden seasons this year.

I too grew up with workiing in Mom's garden and grew to love digging in the dirt.
