You have oranges! About the only thing I miss about living in tropical climes (I lived in Florida for years!) is the selection of fruits. One of the houses I grew up in had finger bananas, mangoes, oranges, avocados, and grapefruit in the backyard, and starfruit in the front. I mostly miss the avocados and bananas. Have you tried growing an avocado tree in your yard?

The mead is nice. We made a few melomels (Fruit meads) with thimbleberries and plums from our garden, a pyment (grape mead) with some of our concord grapes and a show mead (pure honey, water & yeast).
We think your dog is a beauty too....

Thanks Misplaced, for the compliment to my root vegetable crop. That was a fun day. It was time to finally pull up all the root vegetables and see what they looked like. It's so difficult to wait, and all you can see, along the way, is a little bit of the top of the root. They were sweet and yummy!
