Das Haus

Location:  New Albany, IN

Day Job:  finance

The Digs:  Backyard, Front yard

Crops:  Basil, Carrots, Green beans, Mint, Peas, Potatoes, Pumpkins, Squash, Thyme, Tomatoes, Walnuts, zucchini, beets

Animals:  Chickens, pugs

Why I'm Getting Dirty:  It's a necessity! But still learning the ropes. We are in our second year of chicken-herders and love it! There really is nothing that can beat the taste of fresh eggs compared to store-bought ones. It's even fun to weed our garden now because we feed the weeds to the 'girls' -- it's a great way they get their greens and our garden looked better than ever. :) Would love to expand our garden more and/or add some livestock ...
