Ya, sounds good on paper until you see the ridiculous price tag on these things. Then you realize it would take 20-30 years of maintenance free use to just offset the cost of buying one. By then the lifespan of the turbine is more than 70% spent. I'll get excited when someone figures out a more practical way to create energy locally.

It would be great to see these on top of sports stadiums instead of pennants, on top of poles instead of cell phone relays, and on top of the neighboring hills instead of radio towers. I know we're not going to get away from all that, but this could be a way to start.
