Comments On - Fruit Trees for Kids


A fun experience for us growing up. Something kids nowadays are sorely missing.

I think too many kids grow up without climbing trees, picking fruit and nuts from them and without even sitting under one while reading a book. We seem to be fine with removing this contact from our kids' lives.

Personally, I think nearly all trees on public lands in the urban areas should be fruit trees with free rights to gathering the fruit. What better way to get kids involved in edible silviculture than by having them spend time playing amongst the fruit trees.
