I love raspberries, backberries, strawberries, well just about any kind of berry. I love to hear stories like this one. I think it's a great thing that folks are gravitating back to the land in a grass roots sort of way. Even though I'm from the mid west and have a farming heritage, I never bought into the big business farming idea and never thought the over use of chemicals was a good thing.

Good for you both! We were at the farm on opening day, July 3. We had ginger shortcakes, Jersey berries & the first raspberries for the 4th. And fireworks, of course. Thanks for commenting.

Great blog! My friend made a fresh raspberry sauce that we put over Ben & Jerry's vanilla bean ice cream and homemade blueberry pie...and that's how we enjoyed a red, white and blue dessert for July 4th. I ate way more than I should have, of course!
