Wow, what an interesting story! I was thinking of raising birds for meat in the Spring. It's silly that we eat tons of chicken and have chickens that we don't eat. I still want to keep those laying pet chickens, but I think if I raise a chicken specifically for food and don't name it, I'll be okay. And my family can have fresh meat. How wonderful.
