What a fun topic. William is on to something - I have been using plastic bowls for cereal since I was a child. I also have a hot chocolate mug, a plate best suited for rice dishes and a favorite champagne flute.

I agree with everything in Judy's post. Wine tastes better in a beautiful, large glass made just for wine, coffee tastes better in my special mug, food has better "mouth feel" when eaten with my special fork and spoon with their beautiful, rounded edges and comfortable feel in my hand. Chipped plates and bowls are given to the cats--it just wouldn't do to eat off them!
