Comments On - Fall Plantings

Unfortunately none of the nurseries around here stock fall plants like broccoli. So next yr I may have to start my own!

I definitely want to plant broccoli and kale this year. Last year I finally got over my perception of kale as "salad bar decor" and actually ate some. Now? It's a must have! Also I'm devoting a whole raised bed to garlic too and probably one for onions. Can't have enough of those either

Got to get my garlic in soon. The kale is already there and will last all winter I hope.

My fall garden is doing quite well. I get between 4 and 5 growing seasons here. The summer is a bit hot, but I can rotate at least 4 times and sometimes 5 times through my garden beds.

Fall produce always seems to taste better and sweeter to me. I think it's because it's counter-intuitive. We shouldn't be able to pick fresh tomatoes in November, but we do.
