This is intriguing indeed, and I hope it is successful! I must point out, though (being a nitpicker) that the phrase "generating more energy than it consumes" is an oxymoron. It is thermodynamically impossible for a system to create more energy than it consumes.

It's great to hear about big cities starting to take charge of their food supply. In the years ahead I'm not sure we will be able to count on the food grown far away from home. I like the creation of jobs close to home as well.
