My Grandfather came to America from Calibria and a farming family. He farmed in Denver and even produced seed many years ago for Rocky Mountain Seed company. He was a fabulous organic gardener. Did not believe in pesticides or fertilizers. His crops were always prime picks with buyers. This was all back when you didn't pick crops before they were ready. I remember the Ice cars at the railroad station ready for when the major buyers bought the produce right off the trucks, so early in the morning it was barely light. Your article made me think of him again. I'm grateful for all I was taught. Thank you, you live in a beautiful area.

Ah, water; I couldn't live too far away from it myself. And ah, Italy! What a life you have, fellow blogger! I also envy first broccoli in November when we are eating our last.

Rick, I too love water features. Where you live sounds like a haven for watching, listening, and enjoying the moving water. I have family that lives in Las Vegas and visit there at least a couple times a year. They keep wanting me to move there now that I'm retired. It's an OK place to visit but never would I want to live there. It's too difficult to grow anything and I'm just like very distinct seasons too much. I always enjoy reading your posts.

Have a great Vespa day.
