This Food Control bill was hidden in a amendment of another bill. How could it possibly be good? Plain and simple. It's NOT!

Let's see, the federal gov't has secured more authority for itself. It has increased the tasks and scope of it's bureaucracy and extends it's reach even further into people's lives.

Call me skeptical, but I see little to no actual good coming from this. Only more gov't intrusion, fines, taxes and fees.

There is a law and a court ruling stating the FCC can not regulate cable. So they went ahead and did it anyway.

The FDA will probably ignore the law and target smaller farms since the big farms are the cash cows for politicians.

It will be interesting to follow the process of the FDA over the course of the next couple years to see how these regulations flesh out in the real world. I'm glad to see that the small local farms were somewhat exempt.

All of the problems facing small producers were not removed from the bill/law. There is still some significant work to be done to protect urban farmers and local growers from federal regulation and potential legal issues.
