Judy, Of course you are correct in saying that the home made pies are the best. I did some volunteer work a couple day ago and got to stay for dinner. The wife made deep dish cherry pie from cherries off the trees on her property. I must say that it was a really good pie. I'm not much of a desert eater but on occasion since I'm not a baker I succumb to restaurant pie.

Have a great pie baking and eating day.

Well, Clyde, these pies are very rich but I too could easily eat a quarter of almost any homemade pie. I've pretty much stopped looking for good ones in restaurants, David.

love the recipes. serving 8 pie eaters in my family would make any pie nervous.

Anyone need a pie taster? I'm not so much into baking pies but I'm great at eating pie. :) Village Inn (local pancake house) apple cinnamon is awesome.

Have a great pie baking day.

Great! And some vanilla ice cream? FYI I tried it with lingonberries too-yum.
