Most of our fishing is catch-and-release too but the Hudson (and its striped bass) are getting cleaner by the year. Enjoy!

Judy, I'm not a hunter but I like the taste of wild game. It's a real treat when I get invited to eat what others have hunted. Since we are in the heart of corn growing country the wild game always tastes great as they have been corn fed so to speak. I'm more of a fisherman and most time eat what I catch. Some of the lakes near my house are all water control for the nitrate filled run off from the farmland around them so I don't really eat those fish. I have a plan to put those in my water tank next year and maybe by the end of the summer think about eat some or just put them back in the lake they came from. I'll have to research more about how long chemicals stay in fish.

Have a great wild game day.
