I had this same problem this year. I has two choices, let her hatch some eggs and get no eggs, or battle with a broody hen and still get no eggs. So I let her hatch eggs (3). When they hatched another hen went broody so I had to play fair have give her 4 eggs. Now 7 chicks later, everyone is doing well. Its a great experiment and give her more than one and increase your odds of getting a few more hens. And as much as I've read, the inbreeding is not an issue for poultry. If they're roosters, craigslist!
