Might need some of that water for lakes, rivers, etc. also. Or maybe I just don't quite get it.

Bravo for the innovation. I hope everyone is thinking cradle to cradle on this - hydroponics traditionally uses lots of chemical inputs to feed the plants and so there is the issue of disposing of the "dirty" water. Aquaponics? The closed loop fish/plant system addresses this...

Great idea and really catching on in NY. Now, if we can just get the idea to spread to major cities around the globe, we might have something other than a local anomaly.
