Rookie gardener meets tomato plant. Gardener nurtures tomato plant to fruition in a small yard. Gardener tastes tomato. Gardener falls in love with tomato plant and gardening.

It’s a story you’ve probably heard before, but that doesn’t make it any less special. You probably remember the first time you fell head-over-heels in love with vegetable gardening, too.

Maybe you haven’t had the opportunity to make your own memories in the garden. Well, now’s your chance. Vegetable Gardens, the fourth issue in the Popular Gardening Series, is here to guide you through all of the aspects of developing a vegetable garden.

What You’ll Find

Garden Design: Whether you have acres of land or a small urban plot, you will need to design your vegetable garden to meet your needs. We’ll show you how to select the ideal spot for your garden, which vegetables will grow best and where, and how to incorporate raised beds and containers.

Plant Profiles: Learn more about the 17 most popular vegetables, including when to plant and when to harvest them, water and light needs and special requirements.

Supplements: Your veggies must have fuel to grow and thrive. We’ll tell you all about chemical vs. organic fertilizers, and how to create your own compost.

And Much More: From choosing the right vegetables for your climate to planting seeds to determining the difference between good bugs and bad pests, this Magabook ® (magazine-book) has got all your needs covered. Vegetable Gardens ™ is an essential guide for everyone.

Just read the volume 5 of this series. Loved it! But, would love to know the recipe of the cover picture! Can't find it anywhere inside the issue!

@Sandy: We don't see a downspout diverter on pg. 65. If you could please double-check the page again and email us at uf@bowtieinc.com, we'll be happy to help.

I've just picked this mag up and am enjoying each and every article. On page 65 there is an ad with a picture of a downspout diverter spilling water into a rainwater collection barrel. Can you tell me where this can be purchased please.
